Therapeutic Facility

Continuing our successful relationship with Peter Ballantyne Child & Family Services Inc., VCM was awarded the $10.4MM contract to construct a Therapeutic Facility at Kistapinan I.R. near Prince Albert, Saskatchewan.

This development site houses several buildings.  The main Therapeutic Facility houses classrooms, clinical space, administrative offices, boardroom, and gymnasium.  Connected to this building is a teepee/cultural room.  An additional Maintenance Shop has been constructed nearby to serve the various maintenance needs of the area.

Eight (8) Resident Buildings are laid out on the site in a full circle with connecting paths leading to the main Therapeutic Facility.  Six are designed with four bedrooms, two washrooms, living and kitchen areas, and two specialty cabins are designed with sensory rooms to accommodate clients with special needs.  All buildings are fully accessible, and the centre design includes a Multi-Purpose Plaza with outdoor recreational and garden space.

VCM is pleased to partner with the Peter Ballantyne Band to provide local labour content for VCM and our subtrade partners.  This project has been a success in regards to schedule, budget and local labour employment.
